St. Thomas Mission Hospital, Kattanam, Mavelikara is located in the Central Kerala, South India. The Hospital is established in 1948 and has got now 350 beds with 20 multi-specialty departments.  About 45 Doctors 195 para-medical staff working to cater the needs of around 350 out patients daily. The church is owned by Mar Thoma Syrian Church, Kerala.

 

During  2009, Marafie Foundation got a request from the Hospital to open up a Dialysis Center in the Hospital since there was no dialysis facility in and around the  Area, which is mostly housed the poor and low income people.  Accordingly Foundation established a Dialysis Center in the Hospital initially with 3 units bearing the full financial aspect.  The Dialysis Center was functioning very well and due to the high demand more units are added time to time and now total 10 units are in the service. Until now around 25,000 dialysis process were carried out, i.e. monthly an average of 475 dialysis.


In 2013 a delegation from the Marafie Foundation visited the Hospital and fully satisfied the activities at the Dialysis Center, extending the support to the poor and needy patients without considering the cast or creed.
