Hurricane Katrina was the deadliest and must destructive
Atlantic hurricane in 2005. It was the one natural disaster as well as one of
the five deadliest hurricanes in the history of the United States. At least
1,836 people died in the actual hurricane and in the subsequent floods. On
August 29, Hurricane Katrina caused land slide near Louisiana with heavy
rainfall. As a result of the rainfall and storm, several bridges were destroyed
and people in Louisiana lost electric supply as a result of Hurricane Katrina
and severe rainfall and subsequent flood.
